This morning, the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) blessed a new fire engine that is going into service today.
Fire Chief Adam Riegel, Deputy Chiefs Dennis Randolph and Terry Vavra, Battalion Chief Brian Applegate, Chaplain Bill Ciston and NLFPD Station 2 Lieutenant and Firefighters took part in the blessing of the new engine Thursday morning. New Lenox Fire Protection District, October 29
This afternoon at 2:54 p.m. the New Lenox Fire Protection District received a call for a residential structure fire on the 700 block of Amber Road, which was called in by a neighbor.
Upon arrival firefighters observed smoke showing from a single-family residence. The firefighters then reported a working fire on the side wall of the garage. A neighbor was outside with their garden hose trying to keep ... (Full Story & Photos)

New Lenox Fire Protection District Responds to Commercial Structure Fire
New Lenox Fire Protection District, October 17
Just before 10:30 a.m. the New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) received a call for a structure fire on the 1000 block of South Cedar Road in New Lenox.
Upon arrival, New Lenox Engine 63 observed heavy smoke and fire coming from the building and the call was updated to a full still response.
