The New Lenox Fire Protection District (NLFPD) and New Lenox Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5097 (L5097) will be bringing Santa to town on December 3rd and December 10th. Santa will be riding through neighborhoods throughout the New Lenox area in a fire engine.
“We are always looking for a fun way to give back, and the past several years bringing Santa to town has had such a great response from the community,” said Lt. Dan Vanek, President L5097.
This is the 6th annual Santa Claus is coming to Town event the NLFPD and L5097 will be bringing to New Lenox.
“Any time we are able to bring Santa with us to an event, the excitement on children’s faces make it that much more special,” said NLFPD Fire Chief Adam Riegel.
Below are the list of approximate times Santa will be visiting the neighborhoods. December 3rd: 10:00 a.m. - Foxborough Estates 10:30 a.m. - Bluestone Bay 11:00 a.m. - Shannon Estates 11:20 a.m. - Hibernia Estates 11:40 a.m. - Sanctuary
December 10th: 10:00 a.m. - Jacobs Field 10:30 a.m. - Windermere Lakes 10:40 a.m. - Horizon Meadows 10:50 a.m. - Taylor Glen 11:10 a.m. - Sky Harbor 11:40 a.m. - Heather Glen
The parade routes are not exact, and times are approximate. The parade may be delayed if there is an emergency call during the scheduled time. Residents are encouraged to follow the New Lenox Professional Firefighters Local 5097 on Facebook for updates as Santa visits each neighborhood as well as the routes he will be taking through each neighborhood.
