The NLFPD conducts many different safety talks and presentations to New Lenox residents of all ages. The majority of the safety talks are to younger students and Boy and Girl Scout troops. These talks include safety messages such as: Tools vs. Toys, Hot vs. Cold, Firefighter are Our Friends, and EDITH (Exit Drills in the Home) Drills, Basic First Aid, CPR, and Campfire and Water Safety. We also assist with various career day presentations, discussing what a firefighter’s life is like and all the training needed.
